FlipRadar

How FlipRadar works

You describe what you are hunting for. FlipRadar checks Facebook Marketplace and eBay AU for new listings that fit, every few minutes, around the clock, and tells you when one lands.

Watchlists

A watchlist is one search: the words, the cities, a price range, and a few rules about the title (words that must appear, words that rule a listing out). Type it in plain English and the AI drafts the list for you; check it, change anything, then save. Or fill in the form yourself.

Two people watching the same thing share one search behind the scenes, so adding a list that someone else already runs costs nothing extra. Facebook only ever shows the newest 24 listings per city per search, so lists on a hot cadence catch more of them.

Deals and labels

When a new listing matches one of your lists it becomes a deal in your feed (and a Telegram message, if you connected it). Each deal carries a label:

  • Great deal: the price sits well under what this item usually asks. Scored 60% or more.
  • Fair: around the usual asking price. Scored 40% to 60%.
  • Over: above the usual asking price. Under 40%.

The score comes from the asking prices of similar listings on eBay AU, the listings FlipRadar has already seen, and a model's judgement of the title. It is an estimate against asking prices, never a sale price: nobody publishes those. Where the judge answered, the deal sheet shows the range it thinks is usual.

Needs a price check

Some sellers list at $1, "$3 per kg", "ono" or "message for price". A number like that is not the price, so the listing is never scored. It still lands in your feed marked Needs a price check, so a $1 leg press cannot come out as the deal of the decade.

Not for me

Under every deal is a Not for me button. Tap a word from the title and that word is added to the list's excluded words, so nothing with it in the title comes back. Or just hide it. The same buttons sit under each Telegram message.

Photos and links

Every photo is loaded straight from the marketplace and every deal links back to the listing there. FlipRadar keeps no photos and no descriptions; Facebook's thumbnails expire after a day or so, so older deals show a plain tile.

Stale drops and price drops

When a listing you have seen before gets cheaper by ten percent or more, it comes back as a price drop. A list can also ask for a stale drop: a listing that has sat for a set number of days and finally drops to a price you named, even if it sat above your cap until then.

Limits

Each account has a number of lists and cities it may use, set by Anthony. Ask if you need more. Everyone shares one budget of marketplace requests a day, which is why the form tells you what a list costs before you save it.
